This tip is only relevant if you live in a region that has Trader Joe’s. If you do and you like red wine and you are also on a budget – or if you need to stock up on cheap stuff to serve to a room full of drunken guests who won’t notice that you stopped serving Stag’s Leap two hours ago – this wine is for you. It is $4.99 a bottle here in Los Angeles. It is in the French wine section. There is a very drinkable white of the same label for the same price. The label looks fancy & this wine does not have the notoriety of the Two Buck Chuck Trader Joe’s has become famous for so nobody will start tweeting the food community about how stingy you are when you bust this out.
